About Carol
I am a highly experienced Teaching Assistant with over 15 years of supporting students with additional needs in specialist secondary SEND settings. Throughout my career, I have worked with learners with Autism, ADHD, Pathological Demand Avoidance (PDA) and global developmental delay, providing both 1:1 and classroom-based support to help them achieve positive educational outcomes.
I pride myself on building strong, trusting relationships with students and adapting my approach to meet individual needs. I use visual strategies, differentiated resources and structured support techniques to promote engagement, independence and confidence. My calm, patient manner and understanding of SEND enable me to create a positive and inclusive learning environment where pupils feel safe and supported.
I am currently registered with Moore Teachers for supply Teaching Assistant opportunities across primary and secondary settings. Most recently, I supported students at Richard Hale School, delivering keyworker sessions, producing tailored learning resources and working closely with teaching staff and the SENDCo to support pupil progress.
