About James

I am an experienced Primary Teacher and SENCO with over 20 years’ experience across state, independent and international schools. I have held a range of senior responsibilities including SENCO, Mental Health Lead, KS2 Leader and member of Senior Leadership Teams.

I am passionate about creating inclusive learning environments where every child can thrive. My strengths lie in developing positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues, leading effective SEND provision and supporting pupil wellbeing. I am known for my adaptable approach, strong classroom practice and ability to work collaboratively to improve outcomes for children with a wide range of needs.

Most recently, I have been working as SENCO and Senior Leadership Team member at Chauncer Junior School, leading SEND provision, safeguarding and staff management. Prior to this, I spent four years at St John Fisher Catholic Primary School as Year 5 Teacher, SENCO, Mental Health Lead, ECT Mentor and curriculum leader, further strengthening my expertise in leadership, inclusion and teaching excellence.
