About Jo
I am an experienced primary teacher with over 10 years of teaching experience across a variety of primary school settings. Since gaining Qualified Teacher Status in 2012, I have taught across Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, including a dedicated Year 1 teaching role, alongside part-time class teaching and supply positions. I am passionate about creating engaging learning experiences that support both academic achievement and pupils’ personal development.
I pride myself on building positive relationships with pupils, colleagues and families, creating inclusive classroom environments where children feel confident and motivated to learn. My adaptable approach allows me to quickly establish effective routines and high expectations, while my strong commitment to professional development ensures my practice remains current and responsive to pupils’ needs.
Most recently, I have combined a part-time Class Teacher role at Albury Primary School with supply teaching through Moore Teachers. Alongside classroom teaching, I have taken responsibility for First Aid within school and have enjoyed leading memorable enrichment opportunities, including a whole-school Bastille Day celebration and producing tailored nativity performances for pupils and families.
