About Joseph

I am a practical and experienced operations professional with a background in marine engineering, site maintenance, carpentry and joinery, project installation and customer service. I have more than 15 years’ experience coordinating repairs, maintaining facilities and equipment, managing supplies and supporting safe day-to-day operations. I am now looking to transfer these skills into a school caretaker or site support role.

I bring a hands-on, organised approach and am confident completing minor repairs, identifying maintenance issues and working with mechanical and electrical systems. My previous roles have required strong health and safety awareness, accurate record keeping and the ability to respond calmly to changing priorities. I am also experienced in supervising teams, liaising with contractors and providing professional support to customers and members of the public.

I currently work on a self-employed basis as a Works Manager and Marine Engineer at Stanstead Marina, where I oversee repair operations, diagnostics, inspections, stock control and regulatory compliance. This combination of practical expertise, reliability and customer-facing experience would enable me to make a valuable contribution to the safety, upkeep and smooth running of a school site.
