About Marilena

I am an experienced Teaching Assistant and Learning Support Assistant with over three years of experience supporting children across primary schools and nursery settings. My experience spans Early Years, Reception, Key Stage 1 and pupils with special educational needs, alongside teaching Greek as a foreign language to young learners. I hold a CACHE Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification and have completed specialist training in safeguarding, behaviour management and autism practice.

I am passionate about creating positive, nurturing learning environments where children feel supported to achieve their potential. I build strong relationships with pupils and colleagues, adapt quickly to different school settings and provide effective support for children with additional needs, behavioural challenges and language development. My calm and patient approach helps children develop confidence, independence and engagement in learning.

Most recently, I worked as a Learning Support Assistant at Gothic Mede Academy, supporting Reception pupils and providing additional support across Key Stage 2 when required. Alongside this role, I taught Reception-aged pupils at Leicester Greek School, delivering engaging language lessons through songs, games, reading and writing activities. Prior to this, I completed a range of successful Teaching Assistant assignments across schools and nurseries in Hertfordshire.
