About Rachel

I am a caring, passionate and dedicated Primary Teacher with over 10 years of teaching experience and more than 17 years of working with children. My experience spans Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Lower Key Stage 2, including leadership responsibilities within both EYFS and KS1. I am committed to creating positive learning experiences that support children’s academic progress, wellbeing and personal development.

I am known for my nurturing approach, strong teamwork and adaptability. I build positive relationships with pupils, families and colleagues, and pride myself on maintaining high standards while creating inclusive and engaging learning environments. As a reflective practitioner, I quickly adapt to new settings and consistently focus on helping every child achieve their potential.

Most recently, I taught in Lower Key Stage 2 at Oakmere Primary School, having previously served as KS1 Lead within the same school. Prior to this, I was Early Years Lead at Ponsbourne St Mary's Primary School, where I taught across Nursery, Reception and Years 3/4 and successfully led the setting to achieve the Early Years Quality Standard Gold Award.
