About Wendy

I am a dedicated Primary Teacher with experience across EYFS, KS1 and wider primary settings. Since gaining Qualified Teacher Status in 2024, I have taught Reception and Year 1 classes, alongside day-to-day supply across Nursery to Year 6. My background as a Learning Support Assistant has given me a strong understanding of supporting pupils with a wide range of learning needs, including SEND.

I pride myself on creating engaging, inclusive classrooms where children feel confident to learn and achieve. I am committed to adapting teaching to meet individual needs, building positive relationships with pupils and families, and working collaboratively with colleagues to ensure every child is supported to reach their potential.

Most recently, I have been teaching a Reception class at St George's Primary School in Colchester, planning and delivering the EYFS curriculum while supporting children with their transition into Year 1. Prior to this, I taught Year 1 at Moreton Church of England Primary School and gained valuable experience across a range of schools through supply teaching. I am seeking a full-time or part-time EYFS or KS1 teaching role.
